Missing fun & tasty food on AIP? These 5 meals from Paleo On The Go will make your little heart sing!
I’ve been following the Autoimmune Protocol AIP for many years to manage my autoimmune disease (Hashimoto’s). I’m also a pretty good cook (well, I’m a food blogger after all and I’ve written 3 AIP cookbooks) and I have high expectations when it comes to food.
I want my food to taste good, and be nutritious and healthy. Last but not least, I’ve got a healthy appetite so I need more than a little salad to keep my energy up for several hours.
All that being said, I keep coming back to Paleo On The Go because they provide me with the high quality I’m looking for and they don’t cut corners.

1 – Homemade Chicken Pot Pie:
My all-time favorite! This is the ultimate comfort food. This chicken pot pie tastes and looks just like I would make it myself at home … if I had the time 🙂 There is plenty of vegetables and chicken in this pie (you won’t be disappointed) and the crust turns crispy and golden when you reheat it in the oven. Soo yummy!
This chicken pot pie is really filling so perfect if you are really hungry. To stretch your budget, you could also divide it into two portions and serve it with a side salad.
2 – Savory Hash Breakfast Bowl
Here is another winner! I love everything about this breakfast bowl:
- Plenty of protein
- Healthy carbs (sweet potatoes)
- A good dose of leafy greens (kale)
- Aaaand huge pieces of bacon 🙂
The combination of these ingredients is perfect and makes for a very satisfying meal that keeps me full for hours.
3 – Grass-Fed Beef Taco Kit
Welcome back to taco Tuesdays:-) If you’ve been missing happy hour foods on AIP, this taco meal will be super fun to eat for you! Once again, the flavors in this meal are excellent and the portion is quite large. It comes with AIP-friendly tortillas on the side.
The highlights:
- Tender shredded beef
- Tasty & refreshing salsa verde
- Gut healing taco slaw
- Extra-large portion with AIP tortillas
4 – Bacon Apple Chicken Burger with Collard Greens
This meal reminds me of Thanksgiving with the combination of sweet and savory flavors. And I’m a big fan of Thanksgiving food so this one is another winner for me 🙂
First, let’s talk business. This meal comes with a generous serving of collard greens with smokey bacon. Your Mom would be so proud of you for eating your veggies!!
Then, the fun part: 2 tender and juicy chicken burgers filled with pieces of apple and bacon. Topped with a yummy sweet maple-cranberry sauce. De.Li.Cious!

- Large portion of Mom-approved collard greens (with bits of bacon)
5 – Moo Shu Pork Taco Kit
Here is another fun and tasty meal you can add to your menu! The Hoisin sauce adds a lot of flavor to the pork and the garlic-ginger Asian slaw gives this meal a nice crunchy texture.
This kit comes with AIP tortillas on the side but that day I decided I wanted a big salad instead of the carbs so I turned this taco meal into a Moo Shu taco salad instead.
I hope this review helps you choose some great-tasting meals from Paleo on the Go! Honestly, you can’t go wrong with them. All the meals I’ve gotten from POTG in the past have been excellent, high-quality, with extra-large portions.
