AIP Snacks and AIP Convenience Foods

Whether you are completely new to the Autoimmune Protocol or a seasoned AIPer (I totally made up this word!), this list of AIP snacks and convenience foods will come in handy at some point in your healing journey.

I separated the list into two sections:

  • AIP-compliant snack ideas you can make yourself at home.
  • AIP-compliant pre-packaged foods you can buy at your grocery store or online.

1 – DIY AIP-compliant snacks

Here are some ideas of AIP-compliant snacks you can easily put together in advance. Some of them are pretty straightforward and others require a little bit of kitchen work. I like to keep a small stash on hand, whether savory or sweet, so I am prepared for those mid-afternoon cravings!

  • peach & tuna salad served on sliced apples & arugula

    Hey Sophie
I’ve been following you for awhile now and really appreciate your blog and your recipes
    Question ?
Now that you’re in remission from a
    Hashimoto did you ever reintroduce
dairy, grains , legumes or wine back
    into your daily routine ?
Or are you always completely on AIP ?

    Thank you for your reply

      Hello Deborah,
Yes, I have reintroduced some foods, but not as much as you might think. I feel so good on AIP that I don’t want / need to reintroduce grains, legumes, and alcohol on a regular basis. If I encounter those when eating out, for example, I’ll eat them. But 99% of the time I keep a very clean diet because that’s where I feel my best. From experience, the worst is sugar though. It is pervasive and you can easily overdo sugar even on AIP. I hope this answered your question! – Sophie

I tried the PowerBalls and felt they were very ‘dry’. Love Jack’s Cookies. Can definitely recommend the Cassava bread/chips to be used for pate. And the DANG coconut chips. The EPIC bars are very good…

Check out everything Siete brand makes! I believe everything they make is Paleo compliant but quite a few items are AIP compliant too.

Great advice! I know they came out with an AIP-compliant tortilla but I haven’t had the chance yet to taste them 😉 – Sophie

As Siete brand has expanded their line of offerings, some of them contain nightshades.

They have amazing AIP cookies and chips and tortillas. It’s the seasoning packets and some of the more
        “traditional” foods which have nightshades.
